This shop was created after moving back to Japan so that more people around the world can be introduced to and fall in love with unique Japanese artistry and fashion.
Japanese Kimonos are resilient examples of the country’s craftsmanship. It is necessary to underline their exceptional character today: they were manufactured according to ancestral techniques (the secret of which is sometimes lost), with embroidery of an incredible delicacy which required days and days of work.
Junko Fukuda has launched her brand Wa-Miyabi and offers creations using vintage Kimono and the recycling of traditional Japanese textiles. Precious materials and functional designs, for a fashion that is at the same time in tune with the times, respectful of the knowledge and symbols of traditional Japanese culture.
