We can complete a variety of digital fabrication projects in house, from machined parts to prototypes to small-run production jobs.

CNC Router
The ShopBot CNC router (5 x 10) can cut a variety of materials up to 4 inches thick. If your design is larger or thicker than this we can cut in layers or pieces and then assemble into a final product. We can work with acrylics, hardwoods, softwoods, plywood, non-ferrous metals (aluminum, brass, copper, etc.), foam, HDPE, MDF, UMHW, EPS, HDU, MDF, Corian, Melamine, particle board, Masonite, and more!

CNC Mill
Haas VF1 CNC mill (16 x 20″) for precision machined parts and cutting harder metals.

Laser Cutter
Universal 100 Watt Laser Cutter/Engraver with rotary attachment (20 x 30″ bed): Laser etching, engraving, cutting wood, and plastics.

Process
Please write to us with information about your project and a digital file or drawing. Any vector or 3D file format will work. We prefer .dfx or .ai files for 2D drawings and .igs or .step for 3D files. If you have an idea or sketch but no drawing please give us as much information as possible and we can create drawings for you. Please include as much information about your project as possible, including materials, quantities, size, tolerances, and lead time. We will get back to you within two business days with a cost estimate. Once we receive your approval and a 50% deposit we will add your project to the production schedule. Rush jobs (less than 5 business day turnaround) can be accommodated for an additional fee.

Pricing and Payment
Shop rate ranges from $100-$200/hour and pricing will depend on the materials and processes involved. Setup fees range from $50 to $150 depending on the number, complexity, and quality of the files, and whether there are slip fit connections between pieces (i.e. flat pack furniture). Additional fees will apply if we need to create digital files for you. A 50% deposit is required before work can begin. Completed projects can be picked up at our shop or shipped/delivered for an additional fee. Full payment is due upon hand-off of your project. Payment can be made by cash, check, or credit card (3% fee for credit card payment). Rush jobs (requiring less than 5 business day turnaround) are subject to surcharges.
