Process:

• Product Development Brief
  We will send you a list of questions to help understand your vision and budget for the formula. This will help us develop a product that look and feels exactly the way you want it to.
• Ingredient Selection
  Based on the product development brief, we will select specific ingredients tailored to the marketing story, function and aesthetics of the product. Once we narrow down a list of key actives and an appropriate base, we will source all raw material samples for your product.
• Lab Samples
  We begin to create several different lab samples to offer you a variety of options when choosing your final formula.
• Sample Revision
  Our job isn’t complete until you’re completely satisfied. If you’re not satisfied with the first round of samples, we will create new samples based on your feedback. We will repeat for a third round if necessary.Once we narrow down a list of key actives and an appropriate base, we will send over a price list for your approval.
• Final Sample
  Once we agree on a final formula, we will send over final costing sheet along with the final INCI list for your review.

Our strengths:

• Low Minimums
  We pride ourself on offering the lowest minimums in the industry. We start at 250 units a run and are highly scalable. Our goal is to help start ups and indie beauty brands launch and grow organically. We understand every dollar counts, so why invest in large production runs when you don’t have to.
• Pilot Batches
  A pilot batch is essentially known as small batch manufacturing and is the transition stage between R&D and commercial manufacturing. Pilot batch manufacturing is often done to perform stability and preservative challenge testing, packaging compatibility, and ultimately to see if the formula needs to be tweaked.
• Quality over Quantity
  We’re fully transparent in our approach to quality. We have a spotlessly clean small lab space and production area where we make our products. We meticulously check all of our raw materials to ensure ingredients are not expired and still good to use. All of our equipment is routinely sanitized and most importantly we follow GMP standards whenever possible.
• Marketing Claims
  Differentiating between a drug and a cosmetic is key when writing marketing copy. We review all marketing copy, from your packaging to your website to ensure you’re not making any claims that can get you into trouble with the law.
