P3D Creations
CNC milling, turning, surface grinding, finishing
YOUR FRIENDLY LOCAL MACHINE SHOP – P3D started out as a 3d printing company in the early days of open-source RepRap 3d printers. While in school, we built one essentially from spare parts since there were no kits available at the time. Once we had printed enough plastic trinkets to last several lifetimes, Katie had the idea to offer printing as a service. We put together a website and started telling others in our engineering programs about our little plastic extruding CNC machine, and the rest is history.
Services:
- CNC MILLING
Capable of producing most parts up to 40″x26″ (or 16” diameter on our 5 axis machine), our milling machines are our workhorses. Utilizing in-process inspection, automated part loading, and high quality tooling, we are equipped to produce your prototypes or complete a production run of your parts- All while maintaining exquisite quality and optimum efficiency. - CNC TURNING
Our multitasking lathe will handle your round parts in a wide variety of sizes, as well as parts with milling features such as wrench flats, cross holes, and eccentric or odd shaped surfaces. It’s subspindle allows for support of long parts or single-setup finishing for extreme accuracy and high production. - SURFACE GRINDING
Need extreme precision and flatness? Surface grinding has you covered! Ideal for finishing molds and dies, hardened materials, or parts which have requirements for very flat or smooth surfaces. - FINISHING
We offer a variety of secondary processes to put the finishing touches on your parts. These may be handled internally or via outside vendors depending on the project. -
- Abrasive Media Blasting
- Plating (Including anodizing)
- Vibratory tumbling
- Heat Treat
- Wire EDM
- Laser Marking
- Light Welding and Fabrication
- Light Assembly
- Inserts (Helicoils, Rivet Nuts, etc)
- Delivery (Orlando, FL Area Only)
- INSPECTION
We use high accuracy measuring equipment to ensure quality, including in-process inspection of every part using Renishaw on-machine probes and a TESA height gauge with a resolution of 0.00001”. In addition, every part is machine deburred and inspected for cosmetic appearance because we believe parts should look as good as they function! If you have special inspection requirements, please be sure to let us know on the RFQ Form and we would be happy to accommodate.
